This is how your visit to our pediatric cardiology practice works

The first stop: the playroom

As soon as we call you by name, you will be taken to our first examination room.

The second station: The examination room

There are red chairs here where you can first arrive. You will then be asked to take off your shoes and T-shirt so that we can begin the examination. You simply spread out your towel on the couch.

The third station: We measure how tall and heavy you are

First we will measure your body weight and height (link to description of body weight and height)

The fourth station: We measure your blood pressure

You then sit down on the red couch at the front and we measure your blood pressure and oxygen (link blood pressure, oxygen)

The last examination station: the resting ECG

A resting ECG is a simple medical examination in which the doctor's assistant checks your heart activity. What do you have to do? Lie as still as possible. This is the most difficult part of the examination

You have made it!

The entire preliminary examination takes no longer than 5-10 minutes. During this time, we measure all the important values. The doctor will look at these values in peace and quiet and then collect you from the room together with your parents. He/she will ask you to go to the next room where the ultrasound examination will take place. (Referral ultrasound).

That's all there is to it. After about 20-30 minutes, all the examinations are finished. The doctor will discuss all the results with you and your parents.

You can be really proud of yourself. A visit to the doctor must be exciting for you. Now you've done it all and found out how healthy you are and how fascinating your heart beats.

We are very happy that you were with us and wish you a really great rest of the day.
